In photos: Our members take part in the very first Beyond Age workshop

On 19 March, members of COTA Victoria and Seniors Rights Victoria gathered for our very first Beyond Age workshop, held at the City of Melbourne’s City Library.

Members first gathered for an information session and discussion on ageism, facilitated by our education coordinator Gary Ferguson. Then, members began creation of their own Beyond Age storyboard, in which they paired a photo from their past with one from their present, alongside advice about getting older to their younger self.

Completed storyboards will be featured on the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) website and showcased at our keystone WEAAD event in June.

We’re eager to share more from this Beyond Age workshop as storyboards are finalised, and will certainly be in touch with more opportunities to take part in future Beyond Age workshops held across Victoria.

From COTA Victoria and Seniors Rights Victoria, thank you so very much to those who took part in our first Beyond Age workshop! We also thank the City Library for the use of the lovely Majorca Room.
