Message from our President and CEO
We are pleased to present the COTA Victoria and Seniors Rights Victoria Annual Report 2024-2025.
The organisation has continued to put itself in a position where it can deliver positive outcomes for older Victorians, navigating increasing service demand, an evolving policy environment, and an office relocation.
We continue to be in a strong financial position despite a tough fiscal environment. We are reporting a $250,000+ surplus for the 2024-2025 financial year, building on our great financial performance from the previous year. We remain in a strong position to handle a complex funding environment.
A highlight this year was our Beyond Age campaign, as part of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2025. Through powerful visual storytelling, older Victorians reflected on ageing with insight and dignity, challenging stereotypes and sparking meaningful conversations.

We’ve also strengthened and expanded our frontline services. Our Health Justice Partnership with Better Health Network, which embeds legal support in healthcare clinics, launched this year and makes it easier for older people to access timely, coordinated assistance.
Our policy and advocacy work remained strong. This includes playing a leading role on the Senior Victorians Advisory Committee and ensuring older people’s needs were included in state-wide planning and reform.

Over the past year, we have been guided by a strong commitment to ensuring older Victorians are heard, supported, and empowered — and we could not have done it without our committed staff, volunteers, members, supporters, and stakeholders.
Your engagement, advocacy, and partnership have been central to our progress.
This support drives our work and amplifies the voices of older Victorians across policy, practice, and public debate.
We do, in particular, want to thank our funders. We are grateful for these enduring relationships. We could not deliver the impact we do, and the outcomes for older Victorians, without their support.
We thank our current list of funders
We both owe deep gratitude to our Board, staff and volunteers for all that we have achieved over the last 12 months. As part of this, we would like to extend our thanks to Ray Cummings, who has resigned as a Director.
The future is looking bright for our organisation, underpinned by our hard work over this past year. Because of this, we are entering the upcoming year with a renewed strategic vision, a new office, and new programs.
We thank you all for your ongoing support.
