As a member, you’ll join a community of fellow citizens who care deeply about the rights of older Australians, and who share a vision of ageing as a time of possibility, opportunity, and influence. The COTA Victoria community is a powerful one that is continuing to grow in size and influence.
Our members and supporters participate in various programs and events and are provided with opportunities to improve their lifestyle and wellbeing, and to increase their participation in the community. We help raise awareness of the contributions that older Australians continue to make, as well as ensure that the voice of older Victorians is heard by all tiers of government.
COTA Victoria provides opportunities for members and supporters to directly contribute to the identification of issues and the development of policy, and it undertakes collaborative engagement and research to seek their views to bring about real change.
When you become a COTA Victoria Member or supporter you will receive a range of benefits to thank you for your support for the important work we do.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
I don’t want to sign up for membership, but I want to receive your email newsletter. Is this possible?
Unfortunately not. Our COTA Connects newsletter will be a member-only benefit from 1 July 2024.
Where can I login to review my membership information?
Our membership database is stored and powered by Better Impact. Once you’ve signed up for membership, you can login here with the credentials you’ve set to review and amend your own information.
I’ve forgotten my password — how can I reset it?
Our membership database is stored and powered by Better Impact. If you’ve forgotten your password or your username, head to this page and complete the prompts to recover either piece of information. You can also call our COTA Wise Helpline on 1300 135 090 (option 2) for further assistance.
I was a member of COTA Victoria before 18 April 2024. Where do I stand?
COTA Victoria has transitioned locally from a national COTA Membership scheme. Members who originated from the national COTA Membership scheme remain COTA Victoria members in good standing.
The biggest change for existing members is that individual memberships are now free, and no further renewal payments will be accepted.
Another result of these changes mean no new joint memberships will be accepted; new members will also be required to provide an email address for the purpose of communication.
What if I’ve renewed my existing membership, or started a new membership before 18 April 2024?
Those who have recently paid to renew their membership for another year, or who have recently taken up a new membership through the national COTA Membership scheme will continue to receive associated benefits through COTA Membership, including any future editions of the OneCOTA magazine and the Ambassador Card.
Paid memberships of this nature are currently managed nationally by COTA Membership and not by COTA Victoria. As such, we are unable to process any requests for refunds at this time.
We thank you for your continued support of COTA Victoria. As a not-for-profit and registered charity, any support provided is reinvested into services for the older Victorians we support.
I used to donate to COTA Victoria on top of my membership renewal — what if I still wish to donate to COTA Victoria?
Those who wish to donate to COTA Victoria can still do so. As a not-for-profit and registered charity, any support provided is reinvested into services for the older Victorians we support.

What if I have further questions about the COTA Victoria membership model and framework?
Members are welcome to ask questions via membership@cotavic.org.au or by calling our COTA Wise Helpline on 1300 135 090 (option 2). Those calling will likely have to leave a voicemail, and will certainly receive a callback from our membership services team.
