The Victorian Office of the Public Advocate with Seniors Rights Victoria invites you to the 2017 World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Forum in Melbourne on 15 June 2017 from 09.30 to 12.30.
Key presenters will be the President of the Australian Law Reform Commission, Emeritus Professor Rosalind Croucher AM, and the Honourable Dr Kay Patterson AO, Federal Age Discrimination Commissioner. Also speaking is Mr. Gerard Mansour, the Commissioner for Senior Victorians, who was appointed as the Ambassador for the Prevention of Elder Abuse by the Victorian Government in late 2016, as part of its response to the Royal Commission into Family Violence.
Following the key speakers, a Q&A session will be held with some of those working in the field of elder abuse in Victoria. This will be an opportunity for audience participation and discussion. Morning tea will be provided.
