Seniors Rights Victoria works to increase awareness of elder abuse in the Victorian community. We provide online, printed and face-to-face resources for community members and professionals to:

  • raise awareness of the incidence and effects of elder abuse,
  • raise awareness of what causes elder abuse, and
  • provide information and tools to help reduce the incidence of elder abuse.

The Elder Abuse Response Toolkit is an easily accessible web page containing simple, plain language elder abuse information. It answers many of the questions those working with older people ask Seniors Rights Victoria.

Planning Ahead

Planning Ahead helps people understand the need to plan ahead, in order to protect their rights and wishes as they get older, to reduce the risk of elder abuse. The project also supports carers and loved ones of people as they age, to ensure they understand how best to support them.
